PROJECT 3 : RETRACTABLE TABLE

29 September 2014
Haven't even submit our project 2, we're having briefing for project 3!!!
this time everyone totally shocked and almost faint! Just came back from Camp and the next day get the project already. ( everyone still rushing project 2, don't even have time to think of project 3!)
we just sit there and listen to the briefing and then the lecturer taught us about the perspective and vanishing point. It's a very interesting class though!
We need to design a Retractable Table that can easily brought from one place to another one! It look simple but actually its not! Then the best design get to be chose to participate in a furniture competition. We need to present our idea in 6 different A3 Cartridge paper! 6 PAPER!!!

4 October 2014
After submit our project 2, we're quite relax but didn't come up with any idea. Thats the frustrating part! Without any idea, how to draw? for 6 paper some more!!

6 October 2014
After relaxing and playing for 2 days, the idea start to flow in but very unclear! I changed my design a few time and then do improvement a lot too!

 Random Sketching
some detail and measurement! ( the design makes me changed the measurement quite a few time!)
did quite a number of time to improve the drawings. I'm not good in it, so in order to make it look nicer, I need to draw many times! It takes and waste a lot of time!
Finally start to draw it into the cartridge paper!
Elaboration about my design. I dont have a specific concept about my design. All i want is my design to be simple and easy to use. So i named it SIMPLICITY!
to make a design marketable to the society, a simple one will do. Even though the pretty and creative one stand out the most, still a simple one get the attention the most. Why? because it is simple, hence it suit everyone's home and wont waste a lot of space! It can be bought by anyone that need a space-saving table and it is easy to use.
 More elaboration...
The elevation plan. I doesn't do it the way the lecturer show us. so i redo it at night and it waste my time but it worth it. I learned one more things!

9 October 2014

Axonometric Drawing! This is the most complicated part for me! As i don't really understand the concept and i couldn't understand the information in the Internet too! Wasted a lot of time asking senior and friends and lastly a friend explain it clearly to me, then i can proceed to my project! Sometimes sharing information or even asking question do help us to understand more. the moment we teach someone things, we learn too! very thankful to my friend! Thank You!
Been erasing a lot these few night! Burning the midnight oil till 4am and then finally the design is done before 10pm. So i get to rest early! Even though the project takes a lot of our time, I'm grateful that I can finish every project right in time! Doesn't require me to stay up whole night to finish the rest of the project! As long as we keep on doing throughout the week, we can finish it right before the deadline! All of us does not know how to finish this project and don't know what to do in the beginning but it feel so magical that we can actually produce this work with all the limited information we have! Never give up and nothing is impossible!

The Outcome of the Week!
 Page 1 : Perspective View
Page 2 : Concept of the Idea
Page 3 : Top View and Elevation
 Page 4 : Axonometric Drawing
 Page 5 : Technical Details
Page 6 : 3D view & The view of the table before and after extend!
 All 6 Paper!

We just submit our first project and in the same time we get our second one already.
This time we need to draw natural form and also man-made form. We're brief about the project and then we're required to take a pictures of the form and draw it out. spend quite some time in searching for it as the man-made form has to be found outside the campus!
The submission for this project suppose to be on 29th September but due to our Pimpin Siswa camp is on the 26th,27th and 28th September, the submission date have been postponed to 3 October 2014.

30 September 2014
Just came back from Camp and haven't even start the project. Then went to print the relevant pictures and start drawing border and grid line.
2A : Natural Form

in the process of drawing

close-up. As a quantity surveyor, i'm not good in drawing and i'm not interested in drawing, but after i joined HBP school, i'm forced to draw. Even though at the end, my drawing still doesn't show any improvement but i really do put in effort! I'm proud of myself!

2 October 2014
2B : Man-Made Form
Tomorrow is the deadline and i'm still trying my best to draw the man-made form
Project 2B, Man-made form required us to colour the man-made form!
Pretty hard to draw! As my skill is limited.
